The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture further benefits working in various conditions, by offering improved control over depth of field and suiting working in low-light settings. Two Super Low Dispersion (SD) elements are featured in the optical design, which help to control color fringing and chromatic aberrations while a multi-layer coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast in bright and backlit conditions.
